Philip E. Otienoburu, also known as "Dr. O," is a renowned leader in community development and currently serves as the Senior Vice President of Community Development at Charlotte Center City Partners (CCCP). With over 20 years of experience in leadership, community building, and economic sustainability, Dr. O brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to his role.
Dr. O holds an MBA from UNC Kenan-Flagler Business School and a PhD from The Ohio State University, providing him with a unique perspective on the intersection of business and community development. His educational background, combined with his extensive experience, equips him to make significant contributions in advancing the goals of CCCP.
In his position as SVP of Community Development, Dr. O works closely with his team to build community and manage the place in Uptown and South End through strategic programming, placemaking, advocacy, convening, and communication. Leveraging CCCP's resources and relationships, he advocates for and supports residential and business stakeholders, striving to create a vibrant and inclusive community.
Outside of his professional pursuits, Dr. O cherishes his family. He resides in the Charlotte area with his wife and two sons. This personal connection to the community further fuels his dedication to serving the residents and businesses of Center City.
